Figuring Out Buyer Behavior (2)

Alternative Evaluations For these interviews, I went to a Volvo dealership, they have done a complete upgrade over the recent years. So I interviewed some individuals that were searching for a new car. Customer 1 (Older Man) I found him browsing at the new Volvo sedans, and I went to ask what he was looking for in his sedan, and what matters most. " I look for comfort because of my hip surgery, and my kids live in Tampa, so I prefer something that rides smooth." I asked if he had looked at the Acura brand. "I looked online and found that they are similar in price however I have not done a test drive. I really don't have a problem with money it just depends on comfort, for me. However I don't like BMWs and Mercedes because once the warranty runs out, servicing the vehicle is extremely expensive." He knows that comfort is his main priority, he is willing to put cash down, as well as trade in, so he won't have to have monthly payments. I asked what he thoug...

Tenacity & Paying It Forward

Image
1. This course has pushed me to think outside the box more than any other course. Which has helped in real world situations, by helping me become more efficient at my job, and producing better sales. As well as this, I have become aware of completing assignments a day or two before the deadline. This trait now carries over to my other course and my day to day activities. 2. Like many taking online courses we also work, and my hours have become longer and the drive to my house is at least 40 minutes. And last week, it hit me so hard, I did not finish an assignment because I had a ridiculously long day and I had to start laundry, and clean the kitchen. It just all came at me like a train. And on top of that we are starting to move into a new house so we are getting things together for that, such as final paper work and packing up. So when I finally sat down to start homework I was on the verge of not completing the peer reviews. I was just so exhausted, but I had no choice. I pushed thro...

Figuring Out Buyer Behavior

1. Segment: Car enthusiasts, especially those in the Acura market.  2. I went to my local Acura dealership and asked the dealers, as well as consumers in the service department. Interview 1: Dealer  "When it comes to buying Acura, some may say they are more expensive Honda's, however you're buying the luxury and class. You're buying the name." He continued to share that the brand is what the consumer is buying. As well as this, he shared that the future sedan TLX 2021 will come with new and improved technology and a complete interior upgrade. He believes that those really involved with this brand, will instantly fall in love and continue brand loyalty throughout the years. Interview 2: Older Woman in Service Lobby Unfortunately she admitted immediately that the she loved the service, each time she went for an old change or tire repair, the service team was always quick and easy, and it was cost effective. She said that she loved her RLX, and when a newer model com...

Idea Napkin No. 1

1. I am a junior at the University of Florida, majoring in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing. I am a very quick leaner, as well as very tech savvy. When I worked at a Real Estate Agency, I ran the marketing aspect, which gave them over a thousand new likes on Facebook and 300 more followers on Instagram. That may seem small to some but for this company it really boosted their name throughout the farm community here in Ocala. As of right now, I just started a key holder management position at Tervis, and I can't wait to see what I learn from here. If I were to start this idea, I would start it with my Grammy, start small then build up. I feel like this business would create a good family business as well as help women and others in need of larger pockets. 2. Many have had this issue throughout their lives, small pockets incapable of holding their phones, or wallets when they need. Having extra space not only gives those who want extra space, but the option...

Testing the Hypothesis (Part 2)

Who:  The Who in this instance is the men, kids, and other women that do not buy women's pants/shorts. And with this companies that do not produce any type of bottoms with pockets for women also fall out of boundary, such as bathing suit companies. Those that fall out of the boundary may not be directly affected by this, companies that may collaborate with them are, and same for the individual buyer. For instance, those that do not purchase women's pants/shorts may not be concerned with it, however people that they may know might love the idea. What: This need may be similar to others in the fashion world because it is constantly changing. However some companies have not updated pockets or updated at all over the years. The idea for larger pockets does not change the idea of some companies it just adds some extra holding space. Which differs from some ideas because it does not add a new style and/or change a style on the outside. Why: Those that are outliers do not have ...

Solving the Problem

Selected Opportunity: Create larger pockets for women's pants/shorts. Service: Create a larger pattern during production, but with a thinner more durable fabric. Thinner fabric will reduce bunching. The goal: I want to achieve a pattern for all clothing companies, to give larger pockets in women's pants/shorts, to achieve a more efficient and useful pocket overall. Of course my design would come at a cost for each pair used, however it would only be a small cost, such as .01 or barely a penny.
